Learn Somatic Breathwork and Toning through our Yoga Alliance CEU approved 100 hour course. The integrated Neuro-somatic training is approved for University of Arizona CEUs. This course available through in-person or distance learning modules with live video instruction. University of Arizona CEUs are also available. Ongoing enrollment is available.

The in-person training retreat is a 1 day intensive, available monthly at our partnered luxury resort in Tucson, AZ. An additional distant learning format is included to complete the 100 hour training.

The course involves training in a variety of neuro somatic breathing techniques, including training in vagus nerve vocal toning through an individualized breath and voice humming frequency range of 80–120 Hz, which vibrates the larynx and pharynx. This practice is similar to the Bhramari Pranayama (Bumblebee Breath) in traditional yoga. The vagus nerve travels from the brainstem down to the abdomen, and passes directly through the larynx and pharynx. The individualized humming vibration physically massages and stimulates the vagus nerve, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body from the "fight or flight" stress response and into the "rest and digest" state, causing the heart rate to drop and improves your heart rate variability (HRV). (National Library of Medicine). Trauma-sensitive invitational language instruction is used to guide others into neuro-somatic breathwork. Our science evidence based breathwork training is designed to increase neuroplasticity, strengthen the vagus nerve within the parasympathetic nervous system, to reduce stress, trauma and anxiety, utilizing interoception awareness techniques.

*Course hours are less than 200 hours, therefore, course completion does not result in eligibility for yoga teacher registration with Yoga Alliance. However, the course is Yoga Alliance and University of Arizona CEU approved.
